ARAM Mayhem Coach
Drop your rolls. I’ll call the pick.

A free voice coach for ARAM: Mayhem. The Windows app reads your champ select and your live game through Riot’s official local channels, calls your augment picks out loud, and keeps re-weighing your build as items land and fights swing. On this page you’ll also find the web pick tool: drop your rolls and get the pick, ranked on current Mayhem tier data, with fast build and ability cards. No old Trait-set advice: Riot phased Traits out in 26.12.

What is ARAM: Mayhem?

ARAM: Mayhem is League of Legends’ ARAM variant on the Howling Abyss: one lane, five a side, and a champion you didn’t choose — dealt from rolls and rerolls, with a bench your team can swap from. What makes it Mayhem is the augments: at several points in every game you pick one of three augment cards — standalone, game-warping effects that stack with your build and can turn a random champion into a monster. The mode rewards players who can adapt: a new champion, a new build path, and the right augment calls, every single game.

How the Coach works

The Coach is a small Windows app that sits beside your game and talks to you. It reads the game through the channels Riot provides for local tools — nothing hidden, nothing scraped from other players:

  • In champion select it reads your client session: your team, your rolls, and the bench, then speaks a plain hedge — which pick it favors and why — before you lock in.
  • In game it follows the Live Client Data feed, with static data from Data Dragon and Community Dragon, and keeps one living picture: your champion, your build, your augments, both team compositions, and the state of the game.
  • When augments are offered, it reads the three cards on your screen, matches them against the full Mayhem augment pool, and calls the pick out loud with its reason — weighed against the build and the game, not a static tier list.
  • Your build adapts. The recommended build chain re-weighs continuously as items are bought, augments land, and fights change the score. In one recent game it called Sterak’s Gage first — then pivoted to Infinity Edge the moment the player’s augments handed him crit chance.
  • It bends toward your style. Set your favorite champions and a team theme — for example frontline first, then bruiser, then flexible — and the rankings lean the way you like to play.

Honest limits, stated plainly

Most of the game arrives through Riot’s own local feeds. The offered augment cards don’t — no official channel carries them — so the Coach reads those off your screen, the same screen you’re looking at. That’s a workaround, and it’s the weakest wire in the app: a read can occasionally come back partial. When it does, the Coach says what it actually saw and nothing more — it never invents an augment. It also never sees enemy hidden information, never modifies the game, and never plays for you. The Coach is registered on Riot’s Developer Portal (App ID 891332), and a request for cleaner official data for exactly these two gaps — bench contents and offered augments, your team only — has been submitted to Riot’s Developer Relations team. It’s a small indie tool in active public testing: expect the occasional rough edge, and tell the builder what breaks.

Training — learn the draft before you download

Mayhem doesn’t let you pick your champion — it deals you a draft and dares you to play it well. A minute of training here, and you’ll reach the installer already knowing what the Coach is calling and why:

  • How a Mayhem draft works. Your champion comes from rolls and rerolls, with a team bench you can swap from. Then, at several points in every game, you’re offered three augment cards and pick one — game-warping effects that stack with your build. New champion, new build path, fresh calls, every game.
  • How to read an augment offer. The Coach matches the three cards against the full Mayhem augment pool, then weighs them against your champion, the build you have so far, and both team compositions — synergy first, not a static tier list. Watch the chain react: an augment that hands a bruiser crit chance pivots the whole build toward Infinity Edge on its own.
  • Think in themes. Raphael’s chain is frontline > bruiser > flexible: first what the team needs, then what you play best. In the app you set your own favorite champions, in your order, and dials like Fun First bend every call toward your playstyle.
  • Rehearse right here. The pick tool below works the same way the app does: add every champion you can choose and it ranks the pick on current Mayhem data, with build and ability cards. Train on this page — then let the app call it live.

How to use it

  1. Download the free installer — one setup file, no ZIP, nothing to unzip, no account.
  2. Run the setup. Windows SmartScreen will warn that the app is unrecognized — it’s unsigned, so that warning is expected: choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Finish the wizard. It installs for your user account only and adds Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts. Uninstall any time from Windows Settings, like any real program.
  4. Play. Open League and queue into ARAM: Mayhem. The Coach connects to your client on its own: a spoken call in champ select, augment calls as the cards land, and build updates as the game changes.

Important: Riot phased out Augment Traits in Patch 26.12. Names like Stackosaurus can still appear—but as standalone augments, not set bonuses.

Tip jar

The Coach is free, and it stays free. If it won you a game, talked you onto a champion you’d never have picked, or just made Mayhem more fun, you can tip the builder here. Riot’s developer policy lists donations as an acceptable way to support a registered tool like this one — tips are voluntary, they unlock nothing, and they change nothing about the app.

☕ Tip the builder

The tip jar opens the moment the builder’s tip page is set up — check back soon.

ARAM Mayhem Coach — FAQ

Is ARAM Mayhem Coach free?

Yes. The Coach is free to download and use, with no account and no subscription. There is a voluntary tip jar for players who want to support the builder; tips unlock nothing and the tool stays free either way.

Is ARAM Mayhem Coach allowed by Riot?

The Coach is registered on Riot’s Developer Portal (App ID 891332) and reads the game only through channels Riot provides for local tools: the League Client session in champion select, the Live Client Data feed in game, and the public Data Dragon and Community Dragon data files. It never reads hidden or enemy information, never modifies the game, and never plays for you.

How does the Coach call augment picks?

When your augment cards appear, the Coach reads them from your screen — no official feed carries the offered cards, so screen reading is the workaround — matches them against the full Mayhem augment pool, weighs them against your champion, your build so far, and both team compositions, and speaks its pick and the reason out loud.

Does ARAM Mayhem Coach work on my champion?

Yes — it covers the full champion roster. You can also set favorite champions and a preferred team theme (for example frontline first, then bruiser, then flexible) and the rankings bend toward how you like to play.

What does ARAM Mayhem Coach not do?

It does not show enemy hidden information, automate your play, or guarantee wins. Augment reads come from your screen, so a read can occasionally be partial — when that happens the Coach says what it actually saw rather than guessing. It is a small indie tool in active testing, so rough edges happen.

What do I need to run ARAM Mayhem Coach?

A Windows PC with League of Legends. Download the free installer and run the setup — Windows SmartScreen will warn that the app is unsigned, which is expected; choose More info, then Run anyway. Then queue into ARAM: Mayhem — the Coach connects to your client on its own and starts calling your game. A portable ZIP (unzip and run, nothing installed) is also on the page.
